What Is Hapkido?
Hapkido Chun Ki Do, initially developed by Dojunim Han Young Choi (Dec. 14, 1935- Jul. 28, 2013), is a flexible and systematic art with all kinds of combat ranges, using kicks, punches, knees, elbows, complex joint locks, throws and techniques of grappling. This martial art style also includes many realistic weapons, including knives, sticks, canes, and rope. Hapkido's tactical applications vary from police techniques to successful self-defense for everyone, even those of small stature. Through this immersive martial arts curriculum, students are tested mentally and physically, creating well-rounded black belts!
